The Only Constant is Change.

I think we can all agree that over the last year, the entire world has seen changes we never could have predicted. If ever there was a time the world needs the tools of recovery and coming together in support it is now. History has shown us that our challenges can also produce wonderful connections in aligning with others who seek solutions.

After much deliberation, the board members of REAL About Addiction have made the decision to formally dissolve the REAL About Addiction corporate organization and place the assets and mission of Real in the trust of an amazing Alaskan organization that is moving strongly toward providing “real” recovery solutions for Alaskans: The Christopher Walden House of Hope.

Of course, the biggest asset we always felt during the many events and activities sponsored by REAL About Addiction was the amazing love and support. The power and momentum of this love rise out of the pain and fear of addiction. Each story is unique but with one common denominator. The impacts of addiction. All of us support each other whether coming through addiction, supporting someone who is, or all too often working tirelessly in their memory of someone when they lost the battle.

We feel strongly that every bit of the energy all of you and we as a board put into REAL will continue to provide solutions to this disease that has robbed us of too many. We are deeply thankful for your loving support through the years and look forward to continued growth in solution and your support for Christopher Walden House of Hope.
