Helping youth overcome barriers in their continued recovery by combining academic and therapeutic services.
The Christopher Walden School of Hope, VOA Alaska’s day treatment program, provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment to help youth ages 12-18 overcome barriers in their continued recovery.
The program empowers youth to develop and practice interpersonal and group skills, strengthen recovery skills, and remain integrated or reintegrate into their community, family, and school relationships. With the inclusion of school component, taught by Anchorage School District teachers, youth have no disruption in their academic progress while they are in treatment.
