Frequently Asked Questions

What services does the CWHOH provide?

The Christopher Walden Foundation of Hope main job is to raise money and to partner with other non-profit treatment facilities to help expand their bed capacities, enhance treatment programs, or help fill the gap where they may not be able to provide without our assistance.

How do I get services from one of the CWHOH?

Call the numbers listed on the Treatment Resource page of this website.

Does the CWHOH provide detox services?

Each facility provides different level of services and they can change over time so it is always best to call and confirm with that facility.

What do I do if I want to get my loved one addiction recovery services but they do not want to go?

This is always a tough one to navigate, you may want their recovery more than they do and if that is the case success is typically minimal.  You can talk to one of the trained counselors on staff and get advice from them on what the best course of action may be in your situation.  Unfortunately, recovery is only successful if your loved one is ready to take the necessary steps to regain their life back.

If your loved one is experiencing an emergency to bring them to an emergency department at a nearby hospital.

Where does my donation money go?

We are a non-profit with very little overhead, all board members volunteer 100% of their time to the wellbeing of this foundation. Because of our low overhead most of the money goes directly to recovery resources such as helping to purchase and /or provide housing, education and helping to provide the many different levels of treatment needed for a successful recovery.  We do this by partnering with other nonprofits treatment programs because we believe working together allows us to get there faster, go further and save more lives.

"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much." -Helen Keller.
